Fichtenberg (Germany), November 25th 2014 – The launch of the Audi A3 as five-door sedan in the classic notchback design meets a positive response. And we already offer our stainless steel KW coilover suspension kits for the new A3-model (Type 8V). It does not matter whether the A3 notchback sedan has a front- or the recommendable quattro drive. With the coilovers, a continuous lowering of up to 60 mm is possible. Customers who purchase the kit from a certified retailer and let it install there, can also apply for the well-known KW-5-year extended warranty directly from KW.
With a KW coilover suspension, it is easy to increase the handling and driving dynamics of the new Audi A3 notchback sedan. No matter if the A3-driver choses a coilover kit Variant 1, a Variant 2 with additional rebound damping adjustment or the famous Variant 3 with separate rebound and compression adjustment. „With the Variant 1 we mainly want to reach customers that put a great value on a variable lowering”, said KW Product Manager Johannes Wacker. With Variant 2 and especially Variant 3, drivers also have the option to further adjust the dampers. „For example customers who assembles a different wheel- / tire combination than offered by Audi, benefit not only from the possibility of a variable lowering, but also of being able to individually adjust the damper setup”, explains Johannes Wacker.
So for example the KW coilover suspension Variant 2 allows via the integrated rebound damping adjustment to change the handling and ride comfort with 16 exact clicks to meet the individual driving demand. Even more adjustment possibilities are provided by the KW coilover suspension Variant 3. Similar to the KW suspensions for motor sport, the rebound and compression damping can be adapted separately from each another. In addition to the handling and comfort, the Variant 3 allows via the separately adjustable compression damping with twelve clicks to take influence on rolling motions of the body, without having to change the rebound damping which optimally matches the spring rate.
